Acknowledgement of our First Nations peopleWe, at St Alipius Parish School, acknowledge this Country of the Kulin Nation - where the first custodians, the Wadawarrung People, have lived, loved and learned for tens of thousands of years.
We acknowledge the Elders who, in the past, held the culture, the customs, the kinship and the languages of their Nation. We acknowledge the Elders of today, who live and lead this place. We further acknowledge those Elders who are being formed to lead us into a future of reconciliation and hope. This land was never given up and we believe that reconciliation and hope lies in deepening our understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of being, belonging and becoming. May we walk in unity. |
