There is a commitment to whole school improvement and an enthusiasm in approaching the many new initiatives and increasingly complex demands of learning in a contemporary environment.

Our teachers place students at the centre of the learning process. We share the belief that effective learning takes place when positive relationships are developed in an atmosphere that balances challenge with support. Students learn in an environment where trusting relationships allow for risks to be taken and mistakes to be made and learnt from.

We believe that engaging the students in purposeful learning experiences is our prime responsibility. High quality classroom teaching provides flexible and adaptable approaches and strategies to enable students to construct meaning and build understandings. An ‘Inquiry’ approach to teaching is established across the school.
