Learning Support Officer position - 9:00 to 3:30 pm
This position is for 2023
Applications are invited from Learning Support Officers of EXCELLENCE who are committed to:
* Nurturing a faith community within a Catholic context that reflects on the past, prepares for the future and lives fully in the present to enliven both the Gospel and the wider community.
* Maintaining a child safe environment in which students feel safe, empowered and listened to.
* Supporting students with learning needs in a developmentally appropriate manner that promotes personalised learning in a contemporary context.
* Honouring the affinities and interests of the learner.
* Understanding the content of learning activities that engage students in learning.
* Developing meaningful and committed relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.
* Encouraging students to develop the skills to be self-responsible learners.
The successful applicant will:
* Be commitment to Child safety and the Child Safety Standards (Ministerial Order 1359)
* Need a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check
* A Certificate in Education Support is preferred (but not required).

Applicants also need to include a response to the selection criteria listed below:
* Demonstrate proven ability to support students with specific learning needs including challenging behaviours;
* Demonstrate high level understandings and strategies when supporting children with a range of learning needs;
* Demonstrate capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment;
* Demonstrate proven ability to support/deliver learning programmes and Individualised Learning plans (ILPs), as communicated by the classroom teacher.
